About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Frontend Developer with strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks to join our engineering team. The primary focus of this role will be designing and developing high-performance, responsive web applications with clean architecture, scalable components, and seamless user experiences. The candidate should also have secondary exposure to backend services and integration.

TruScholar is a tech startup based in Amravati, Maharashtra, specializing in a cutting-edge digital credential issuance and verification platform powered by blockchain technology. We cater to universities, institutes, edtech companies, professional academies, corporate training programs, and event organizations.

We provide immutable, shareable, and verifiable digital certificates, badges, and transcripts creating a secure Knowledge Passport and a Self-Sovereign Identity Wallet for learners, ensuring data privacy and global portability.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend (Primary Focus)

  • Design and build high-performance, responsive web applications

  • Develop reusable, scalable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Own frontend architecture, performance optimization, and state management

  • Translate product requirements and designs into pixel-perfect UI

  • Collaborate closely with designers and product managers

  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards

  • Optimize applications for speed, SEO, and best user experience

Backend (Secondary Focus)

  • Build and maintain backend APIs and services

  • Design RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications

  • Work with databases and data models

  • Handle authentication, authorization, and basic security practices

  • Collaborate on system design and scalability decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA)

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science / MCA is a plus (not mandatory)

  • Equivalent industry experience accepted in lieu of formal education

Frontend Skills

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

  • Deep experience with React.js

  • Hands-on experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, routing, performance)

  • State management using Redux / Redux Toolkit / React Query

  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, Grid

  • Experience with modern styling: CSS Modules, Tailwind, Styled Components

  • Experience with testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Playwright

  • Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques

Backend Skills

  • Experience with Node.js and Express.js

  • Working knowledge of MongoDB (or similar NoSQL databases)

  • Understanding of full-stack workflows (API design, data flow, error handling)

  • Familiarity with the MERN stack

General

  • Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Understanding of Git and collaborative workflows

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

Good to Have

  • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and SEO optimization

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Knowledge of micro-frontend or component-driven development

  • Prior ownership of features from idea to production
